​An annual exam is a comprehensive preventative exam with your primary care provider (PCP)  for the sole purpose of preventative care. This care plant is designed to help prevent illnesses based on your current health and risk factors. Please keep in mind that the annual wellness visit is not a head-to-toe physical. 

During your prentative exam, your PCP may:

Discus fall preventation, healthy diet, and physical activity habits​

An office visit is a problem-focused appointment designed to discuss new or existing health problems or symptoms. To address these specific health concerns, your provider may order tests, prescribe medication, refer you to a specialist or provide advice and education.

This type of appointment is also used to manage chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension or asthma. Your physician or provider will determine what treatment or management skills are needed in order to appropriately control chronic illnesses. 

 Office visits are covered by a standard insurance co-pay or deductible. Talk to your Doctor about what preventative care is best for you!
